- 2 racks of baby back ribs (approximately 4 pounds)
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- Optional: hot sauce for an extra kick
Instructions
- Begin by rinsing your baby back ribs under cold water, then pat them dry with paper towels. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs.
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, cumin, black pepper, and salt. Rub this mixture all over the ribs.
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up, and cover tightly with another piece of foil. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours.
- Once tender, carefully remove the ribs, uncover, and brush BBQ sauce generously over them. Broil for 5-7 minutes.
- Let the ribs rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
