Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef (80/20 for optimal juiciness) or ground turkey as a leaner alternative
8 small flour tortillas (corn tortillas can be used for a gluten-free option)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese blend)
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh toppings such as diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and sliced avocado
Optional: your favorite barbecue sauce or sriracha for an extra kick
Instructions
Gather all your ingredients, chop fresh toppings, and set them aside.
Shape the ground beef (or turkey) into small, loose balls about the size of a golf ball, and season generously with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat the griddle on medium-high until hot.
Place the meatballs on the griddle and smash them down with a spatula. Cook for about 3-4 minutes before flipping.
Sprinkle cheese on top after flipping and cover with a lid for 1-2 minutes to melt.
Warm the tortillas on a separate surface for about 30 seconds on each side.
Place a cheesy smashburger patty on each warmed tortilla and top with fresh toppings and optional sauces.
