  • 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup of jasmine rice
  • 1 cup of chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

  • Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, stirring until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque, around 3-5 minutes, then remove from the skillet.
  • In the same skillet, add the jasmine rice, stirring for about 1 minute. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer and cover for about 15 minutes.
  • Once the rice is cooked, stir in the heavy cream and return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Mix well over low heat for 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
