- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 tablespoon cumin

Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
- In the same skillet, add chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onions become translucent.
- Transfer the browned beef and sautéed onions and garlic into your crock pot. Add diced tomatoes, kidney beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Give the mixture a good stir to ensure everything is well combined. Set your crock pot to low and let it cook for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, give it one final stir and serve hot. Consider adding a splash of lime juice before serving.
