1–2 Chai Tea Bags
1 cup of Water
1 cup of Milk (whole, almond, oat, or soy)
1 shot of Espresso (about 1 ounce)
Sweetener to taste (Sugar, honey, or preferred sweetener)
Optional ground Cinnamon or Nutmeg for garnish
Instructions
Start by boiling 1 cup of water in a small pot. Once boiling, remove it from heat and add the chai tea bags. Allow it to steep for 5 minutes.
While your chai is brewing, prepare the espresso shot using an espresso machine, French press, or AeroPress.
Once your chai is ready, remove the tea bags and pour the brewed chai into a blender. Add 1 cup of your chosen milk and blend on high until frothy.
Pour the espresso shot into a large mug, followed by the chai-milk mixture. Stir gently to combine the flavors. Sweeten to taste and optionally sprinkle a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg on top.
Serve hot, or cool down by adding ice for a refreshing iced variant.
