Description

Indulge in fun tasty Easter Bunny Pancakes This irresistible recipe brings joy to your brunch with adorable bunny shapes Perfect for Easter celebrations

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (substitute with whole wheat for a healthier option)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (coconut sugar or honey can be great alternatives)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or your choice of plant-based milk works well)
  • 1 large egg (a flaxseed meal can be used as a vegan substitute)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (coconut oil makes a delightful dairy-free alternative)
  • Food coloring (for pastel colors, choose natural dyes if possible)
  • Chocolate chips or sliced fruits for decoration (fresh berries or bananas create lovely accents)

  • Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Make a well in the center and add the milk, egg, and melted butter. Mix the ingredients until just combined, being careful not to over-mix.
  • Divide the batter into separate bowls, depending on how many colors you’d like. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and mix until the desired shades are reached.
  • Preheat your skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease it with a bit of butter or oil. To check if it’s hot enough, sprinkle a few drops of water on the surface; if they sizzle, it’s ready!
  • Pour a small amount of one color of batter onto the skillet to form the head and ears of the bunny. Alternate colors to create the face and ears. Use a spoon to draw on additional details if you’d like.
  • Cook the pancakes for about 2-3 minutes on one side or until bubbles form on the surface. Use a spatula to flip and cook the other side for another 2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Once cooked, stack the pancakes to resemble bunny ears and a face. Use chocolate chips for eyes and fruits for added flair. Get creative!
