  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

  • Instructions

  • In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, stirring constantly.
  • Carefully add the shrimp, seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook until shrimp turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add 2 cups of washed jasmine rice. Stir into the remaining garlic butter for about 2 minutes.
  • Pour in 1/2 cup of chicken broth and 1 cup of water. Stir well and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 15 minutes.
  • Once the rice is cooked, add the shrimp back along with the chopped green onions and lemon juice. Stir gently to combine and let everything warm through for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
