- 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
- 2 tbsp chili powder (or to taste)
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 lbs ground beef (or ground chicken) for stroganoff
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth (or vegetable broth)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
- 2 tbsp flour (or cornstarch)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- For the Chili: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, drain excess fat, and transfer to crock pot.
- Add chopped onions, bell pepper, garlic, chili powder, cumin, black beans, and diced tomatoes to the crock pot; stir to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
- Serve with optional toppings like shredded cheese and cilantro.
- For the Stroganoff: Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain, and set aside.
- Sauté onions and mushrooms in the same skillet until soft.
- Transfer beef back to crock pot, add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and flour; mix well.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, stirring in sour cream about 15 minutes before serving.
- Serve over noodles or rice, garnished with parsley.
