Description

Savor the deliciousness of Honey Soy Chicken Drumsticks. Perfect for flavor enthusiasts seeking a simple, mouthwatering recipe for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 chicken drumsticks, skin-on and bone-in
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce, low sodium preferred
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil, optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

  • Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Place the chicken drumsticks in a large zip-lock bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour, or overnight for the best flavor infusion.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup, and place a wire rack on top. Transfer the marinated drumsticks onto the rack and discard any leftover marinade. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • For extra crispy skin, turn on the broiler during the last 3-5 minutes of cooking. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
  • Once cooked, allow the drumsticks to rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  • Notes

Honey Soy Chicken Drumsticks offer a delightful combination of sweet and savory flavors that make every meal special.
