Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of live King Crab
  • 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 large potatoes, quartered
  • 3 ears of corn, cut into halves
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 45 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup of Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter (optional)

  • Instructions

  • Gather all your ingredients together. Rinse the King crab and shrimp under cold water and set aside. Peel and chop your vegetables.
  • Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add the quartered potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes. Then add the corn and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
  • Add the King crab, minced garlic, and Old Bay seasoning to the pot. Boil for another 15–20 minutes or until the crab is cooked through.
  • Add the shrimp to the pot and cook for 3–5 minutes until they turn pink.
  • Carefully drain the pot using a colander. Serve in a large bowl or directly onto a newspaper-lined table. Drizzle melted butter and squeeze fresh lemon juice on top.
