  • 2 tablespoons of matcha green tea powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ½ cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup of all-purpose flour
  • Salt (a pinch)

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Grease four 4-ounce ramekins generously with butter and dust with a little flour.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and butter. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until melted and smooth. Let cool slightly.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract until pale and fluffy.
  • Pour the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and stir gently until well combined.
  • Sift in matcha powder and flour, along with a pinch of salt. Mix until just combined.
  • Evenly distribute the batter into the prepared ramekins, filling each about ¾ full.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes.
  • Let the cakes cool for about 10 minutes, then carefully run a knife around the edges and invert onto a plate.
