Description
Savor the unforgettable flavor burst of Original Old Bay Crab Cakes crafted with premium ingredients and a traditional recipe for true indulgence
Ingredients
Scale
1 lb fresh lump crabmeat (ensure it’s free from shells)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (consider gluten-free alternatives)
1/4 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt as a substitute)
2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 large egg
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1/4 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
Gather all your ingredients in one place. Ensure crabmeat is well-drained and checked for shells.
In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Old Bay seasoning, Dijon mustard, egg, Worcestershire sauce, celery, and red bell pepper. Mix until incorporated.
Gently fold the lump crabmeat into the mixture, being careful not to break up the lumps too much.
Form the mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick.
Chill the formed crab cakes in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes for firmer texture.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the crab cakes, cooking for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Remove the crab cakes and let them drain on paper towels. Serve with sauce or lemon.
