2 cups of fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
1 cup of granulated sugar (or honey, for a healthier option)
4 cups of water
Ice cubes, for serving

Instructions
Wash the strawberries thoroughly under cold water. Remove the green tops and finely slice them.
In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries with half a cup of water and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl to create a smooth strawberry puree.
In a small saucepan, combine a cup of water with the sugar (or honey). Heat until the sugar dissolves completely to create a simple syrup. Allow to cool.
In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, strawberry puree, and cooled simple syrup. Add the remaining water according to preference.
Stir well, taste, and adjust sweetness as needed. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or serve immediately over ice, garnished with mint leaves and sliced strawberries.
