  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups of marinara sauce
  • 2 cups of ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart until no longer pink. Drain excess fat and season.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  • In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce, then layer the lasagna noodles, beef mixture, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and marinara. Repeat layers and finish with marinara and remaining cheese on top.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 30 minutes until cheese is golden.
  • Let the lasagna rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
