  • 1 cup green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
  • 1 cup additional shredded cheese for topping
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Finely chop onions, green bell pepper, and garlic.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté onions, garlic, and bell pepper until soft.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, sautéed vegetables, eggs, cheese, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and seasoning. Mix well.
  • Transfer the meat mixture into a greased 9×13 inch casserole dish and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 60 minutes, checking halfway through. Cover with foil if the top looks dry.
  • After 60 minutes, sprinkle additional cheese on top and bake for another 10 minutes until melted and bubbly.
