1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
1 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat or gluten-free alternatives)
2 large eggs
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup green bell pepper, diced
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
1 cup additional shredded cheese for topping
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Finely chop onions, green bell pepper, and garlic.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté onions, garlic, and bell pepper until soft.
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, sautéed vegetables, eggs, cheese, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and seasoning. Mix well.
